Loop Procedure

LOOP PROCEDURES

Loop Procedures

With the safety of the students in mind, we want to remind everyone about a few very important traffic procedures regarding our front loop procedure.

  • Please model all traffic crossings by waiting for the traffic guard to cross you before walking through the loop traffic.

  • Please park ONLY in the perimeter of the front loop. The center spaces are used for stack/loop staging.

  • When driving through the front and back loop – there is NO passing – please keep the line single file.

  • And, finally, there is NEVER PARKING in the front or back loop; this lane must be kept free of parked cars at all times.

In order to keep the flow of traffic running as smooth and efficient as possible, the traffic patterns illustrated above have been developed.

Arrival/Dismissal

Grades Arrival Dismissal
K-3
Dropped off in the front loop Picked up in the front loop
4-8 Dropped off in the back loop Picked up in back loop

Sibling Notice

Younger students with siblings in grades 4-8 or students carpooling with an older student in grades 4-8 are required to be dropped off and dismissed with the older student; following the procedure/policy listed above. Any kindergarten students using the back loop will be walked to the back loop before the dismissal process by kindergarten personnel and will be united with their siblings in the back loop before exiting the building to minimize any anxieties for our younger students.

Traffic Reminders

  • NO PARKING - We cannot have cars parked in the front loop at any time during the day. If emergency vehicles need to respond to our school, this loop is used and leaving the loop open is a safety requirement.
  • NO PASSING - Parents must also stay in the loop line until released. Please do not pass or go around loading vehicles.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work together to make the arrival and dismissal of all our students the highest priority; especially when it comes to your time and their safety. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the office.

Morning Drop-off

Early Childhood (Preschool, Pre-kindergarten)
Drop-off: 8:00 a.m.-8:10 a.m.

As vehicles drive up alongside the pond, they will turn right into the front loop entrance and pull into our Visitors Parking Lot (north side of school). Since our early childhood program requires students be signed in and out, families are required to park their vehicle in the assigned early childhood spots in  the visitors parking lot (see above map). Parking is also permitted at the far end of our Visitors Parking Lot, keeping in mind our kindergarten through 4th grade families will be “stacking” for morning drop-off in the first 8-10 rows. NOTE: “Stacking” requires vehicles be in rows, bumper-to-bumper, and not in traditional parking spots. This process allows five (5) cars in each row and will flow through loop for morning drop off of K-3 students. Once parked, parents are to exit their vehicle and escort their child into school using the early childhood entrance, which is located at the west end of the school, by the black railing.

After drop-off, parents will re-join the flow of traffic as part of the drop-off “loop.” Upon entering the loop, please pull slightly away from the curb to signal you have already dropped your student off and safeties are not needed for any assistance with your vehicle. Please keep in mind, there is always only one lane of traffic at all times; do not pass. This is done for the safety of the students and volunteers working traffic.

Front Loop: Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
Doors Open: 7:50 a.m.

As vehicles drive up alongside the pond, they will turn right into the front loop entrance and pull into our Visitors Parking Lot (north side of school) to begin the stacking process. Stacking requires vehicles be in rows, bumper-to-bumper, and not in traditional parking spots. This process allows five (5) cars in each row and will flow through loop for morning drop off of K-4 students. When one row is full with five (5) cars, parents must begin a new row.

Once loop starts, traffic will loop through the Visitors Parking Lot then exit the lot turning right to enter the drive in front of the school. Safety Patrol members will assist children out of their cars. Parents do not get out of their cars. Once all of the cars in front of the school have dropped off their children, cars will proceed to the stop sign while staying in a single line. There is only one lane of traffic in the front loop at all times; do not pass. A traffic volunteer will be at the stop sign regulating traffic flow.

Back Loop: 4th through 8th Grade
Doors Open: 7:50 a.m.

As vehicles drive up alongside the pond, vehicles will continue driving past the front loop entrance and proceed into the back loop for student drop-off. A traffic volunteer will be at the stop sign regulating traffic flow.

There are no safeties in the back loop. Parents are asked to pull up to the cone (located near the Mary garden) to allow for a full loop of cars to drop off. Doors do not open until 7:50 a.m. and we ask for parents to stay with students in vehicles until a staff member opens the back doors. A traffic volunteer will be at the front and back loop intersection directing traffic flow. NOTE: No left turns onto Warren Rd. are permitted.

Afternoon Pick-up

Early Childhood (Preschool, Pre-kindergarten)
Dismissal: 3:05 p.m.

Similar to drop-off, please park in the perimeter of the All Saints Visitor Parking Lot in the assigned early childhood spots. Keep in mind our kindergarten through 3rd grade families will be stacking for pick-up in the first 8-10 rows. NOTE: Stacking requires vehicles be in rows, bumper-to-bumper, and not in traditional parking spots. This process allows five (5) cars in each row and will flow through loop for morning drop off of K-3 students. Once you have your child, please join the single line of traffic exiting the Visitor Parking Lot. There is only one lane of traffic; do not pass.

Front Loop Kindergarten-3rd Grade

Dismissal: 3:00 p.m.

Students will be waiting in grade level groups outside the front doors. Upon arrival parents proceed to the Visitor Parking Lot and start the stacking process, where vehicles are stacked in bumper-to-bumper in rows of five (5). When one row is full, another row is started. Once loop starts, traffic will loop through the visitor lot then exit the lot turning right to enter the drive in front of the school. Safety Patrol members will assist children into their cars.

Back Loop: 3rd-8th Grades
Dismissal: 3:00 p.m.

Do not proceed to the back loop.  These grade levels meet in the Resurrection parking lot and are stacked bumper-to-bumper in rows. When one row is full another row is started. A traffic volunteer will be directing traffic both during the stacking process and by dismissing each row. Once your row is dismissed, you will then proceed to the back loop following the directions of traffic volunteers along the way. Upon entering the loop, please pull all the way up to the orange cone at the end of the sidewalk. The students are in grade level groups. If you pull into the back loop and your student doesn’t see you, you will be required to move out with the rest of the cars ahead of you. You will then go around the loop and rejoin the loop traffic and try again to get your child. You do not need to go back up to Resurrection, but simply circle back around in loop. Please keep in mind, there is only one direction of traffic; do not pass.
